This year Coulson Tough Titans voted to raise awareness for the environment and selected The Woodlands GREEN (Grass-Roots Environmental Education Network) as the beneficiary for our 2020 Race for AwarenessTM.  The Woodlands GREEN is a local 501(c)3 non-profit dedicated to maintaining George Mitchell’s vision of “a community that works and plays in harmony with nature.”  Founded in 1989, The Woodlands GREEN has contributed to the community in numerous ways, including initiating a recycling program in The Woodlands, partnering with The Township Environmental Services Department to host sustainability programs and providing scholarship funds to local seniors pursuing degrees in environmental science.

100% of race proceeds will directly support The Woodlands GREEN Pollinator Conservation Program.  The program raises awareness for the challenges pollinators (bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, bats, and more) face and their critical importance to our food supply. Working with the Township, race proceeds will create a critical pollinator habitat by re-wilding turf grass (with native flowers and host plants) at the Sterling Ridge Park & Ride establishing a pollinator park. The park will include interpretive signage that will educate visitors about the importance of pollinators and encourage them to plant for pollinators in their own landscapes.

Please join us to support the environment and The Woodlands GREEN Pollinator Conservation Program as a 2020 Race for AwarenessTM Sponsor.

Thank you,
The Coulson Tough Race for Awareness Committee
